What is IGLPO?

The INTRA GLOBE LOGISTICS PEOPLE ORGANIZATION is a voluntary organization of people working in logistics industry and industries/ services related or helping the logistics/supply chain companies to fulfill the logistics requirement of the manufacturing companies. As everybody knows “Logistics is the backbone of any manufacturing company”, and the people working in the logistics industry are the real persons behind them who actually help the manufacturing company to be able to make them, their products available to the end users, IGLPO is the organization dedicated to such people. As a global organization, IGLPO is represented by people working in different sectors of logistics industry viz,

  3. Freight Forwarding companies,
  4. Custom Clearing Agents,
  5. Shipping Lines,
  6. Airlines,
  7. Manpower supply companies/Placement agencies,

Objective
Our members are diverse, within the companies of all sizes in a wide variety of industries, but we all have one commonality:
“We all are related to Logistics Industry, providing support to our clients in delivering there products till the end user.”

IGLPO works in cooperation with private industry and various organizations to provide organize activities research, and meetings designed to develop the theory and understanding of integrated supply chain management.

IGLPO History
IGLPO History It is a brainwork of our president, who has come up with an Idea of bringing everybody working in the logistic industry on a single platform. i.e. started as IGLPO, at a small level with only two members in Delhi, with the hard work and efforts of president of IGLPO is now growing tremendously and moving towards becoming as one of the biggest logistic organization in the world.

Why IGLPO?
Objective It's not what you know, but who you know is very important. Surrounding yourself with peers who share similar interests and a drive to succeed can yield considerable dividends; they can help you discover and embrace new ideas and grow your professional resume. But where can you find these peers? Industry trade organizations are a great place to start, and INTRA GLOBE LOGISTICS PEOPLE ORGANIZATION is one such organization in India where you can fulfill your requirements. Given the rapid pace of change in today's global world, networking among logistics and supply chain practitioners is critical. New technologies and tactics manifest themselves seemingly overnight as businesses and their supply chains grow longer and more complex. “Keeping up with tomorrow's trends often means keeping in touch with yesterday's friends.”


Objectives

  1. Everybody working in logistic industry should be able to contact and keep in touch with each other.

  3. Develop the profession by facilating the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Mission

    3. Standardize and systematize logistics functions
    4. Promote new services
    5. Review cost assessments
  2. Conduct activities to boost the status of logistics and establish a system to develop human resource
    1. Introduce and promote the field of logistics
    2. Improve the social recognition and status of logistics
    3. Hold “Logistics Promotion Month” and establish an awards system
    4. Strengthen nationwide organizations and regional facilities
    5. Establish and operate an official qualifications system for logistics specialists
    6. Develop and promote a comprehensive training curriculum for the various specialties andindustrial classifications within logistics
    7. Design educational tools
  3. Encourage inter-industrial activities in logistics
    1. Offer advice and consultation regarding logistics
    2. Establish partnerships between manufacturers and logistics businesses
    3. Provide opportunities for distribution system equipment manufacturers and consumers to meet
    4. Establish a high-level logistics information system and form networks
    5. Develop inter-industry exchanges concerning logistics
  4. Support cooperation with foreign countries and contributions to the international community though logistics

    2. Promote international standardization and information exchange

    4. Refine logistics activities within the Asian region

    5. Publish logistics materials, research reports, and case studies
